Heartsease has cooling, cleansing and anti-inflammatory properties. Used internally and externally for skin problems including eczema, psoriasis and acne. Especially used for cradle cap and eczema in babies, and other crusty skin complaints. In the respiratory system it is a good remedy for harsh irritating coughs, asthma, croup and bronchitis. Reduces fevers and swollen glands, a good diuretic for fluid retention and cystitis. Relieves inflamed joints in arthritis and gout, and also used to reduce blood pressure and arteriosclerosis.
Used for healing the heart, it brings comfort to those feeling hurt, rejected, lonely or broken-hearted.
